Inspire Academy is just going into its second year as a drama workshop and is increasingly becoming
known in the industry as a place to find fresh talent from the East Midlands. A number of young people from
Inspire have been cast in various different projects, winning high praise for their proffessionalism and talent.

If you are a casting director looking for young people between the ages of 7-21, please send us your casting
breakdown and we'll forward childrens CV's that are suitable to what you are looking for.
The group has a mixture of young people from all different backgrounds and cultures..

Below is a list of some of the young people cast in roles over the past year.
The group currently has over 100 young actors, so, there is plenty more to choose from.








'Dear Santa'
Kurtis Lowe
(POTB Casting: Tracey Gillham)
  • Kurtis was cast in the role of 'Zach' in this touching short film about a family coping with their first Christmas since the parents seperated. The film is going around film festivals. Kurtis had recalls for BBC series 'Parents of the Band'. Kurtis won high praise after meeting with Jimmy Nail for the role.

'The Unloved'

  • 7 of Inspire were cast to play young people in a childrens home in Nottingham. It was Samantha Morton's directorial debut. The film is shown on Channel Four on May 17th, 2009. Prior to the release of the film, the group have been praised for their performances.

'Nottingham'
Danny Clarke
(Casting: Jina Jay)
  • The film is directed by Ridley Scott and stars Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett. Danny is filming in Shepperton. Danny remains humble and grounded, despite winning high praise for his role.

'Copycats'

  • This new CBBC programme is a game show. The pair auditioned and CBBC found two young people they were very happy with. They film in Glasgow during June.
         


'DIVE'

  • Yasmin and Kieron are cast in this gritty drama written by Simon Stephens for BBC 2, made by Granada. They both have been given great feedback from their work.

'Ten Tigers'

  • The trio were cast in supporting roles in this DV short film. The production commented on their hard work and professionalism.

'Trust Me'
Shalisha James-Davis
(Fourmost Films)
  • Shalisha impressed the cast and crew with her professionalism and maturity. The short film is for Nottingham City Council.

'This side of the Afterlife'

Isaac Tendler

(Sabrewing Films)

  • The film is written entirely in rhyme. Isaac Tendler wins the role of the lead boy, uncovering a money-making scam.
